Praying For Israel

Why Pray For Israel?

1. Israel is still the apple of God's eye and His inheritance, close to His heart (Psa.148:14; Zech.2:8; Deut.32:8-11; Rom.11:29; Psa.33:11-12)

2. God's faithful servants are moved to prayer and compassion over Israel's condition (Psa.102:13-17)

3. God commands us to give Him and ourselves no rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth (Isa.62:1,6-7)

4. God wants to give us the desire, anguish and gift of travailing prayer for Israel's salvation (Rom.9:2-3; 10:1, 14)

5. God commands us to seek the spiritual and physical good of the Israeli people and to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psa.122:4,6-9; Rom.15:25-27; 1:16; 2:9-11)

6. The Jewish people's acceptance of Messiah Jesus (Yeshua) will lead to life from the dead — world-wide revival of unprecedented magnitude (Rom.11:15; Acts 3:19-21)

7. Yeshua linked His second coming to Israel's national turning to Him (Matt.23:39)

Psalm 102:21-22

We Are Standing and Believing With All Those Praying:

----> Revival in the nation of Israel and the world. The church was birthed in the Book of Acts. During the message preached by Peter, he prophesied in Acts 3:19 that a time of refreshing would come from the presence of the Lord, and then Jesus Christ would return. That time of refreshing from the presence of the Lord (revival) will impact the nation of Israel;Arab and Jew alike (reconciliation), and will usher in the return of our Lord.

---->Jesus, in Luke 21:24, prophesied the destruction, dispersion, domination and the deliverance of Jerusalem. All four prophecies have transpired.

The Great Commission, in Christian tradition, is the instruction of the resurrected Jesus Christ to his disciples, that they spread his teachings to all the nations of the world. It has become a tenet in Christian theology emphasizing mission work, evangelism, and baptism. It has been a primary basis for Christian missionary activity.

Praying for Jerusalem is simple obedience to the Great Commission, The Great Commission proclaims that we would be a witness unto Him in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. Praying for peace and protection for those who are experiencing the same type of terror that was experienced in America on September 11th is a way to be a witness

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is sharing God's love and compassion. Matthew 15:16: "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

In Yeshua's Name we call it done!

The Glory of Christ is apparent, as we study the titles which are given to Him in the first chapter of St. John's Gospel.

The Word (John_1:1). As the words we speak reveal our character, so Jesus is the speech of the invisible God. He has uttered or declared God (John_14:9) . The Psalmist said that the heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth His handiwork to the ends of the earth, but in the fairest panorama of the starry heavens, or sunset clouds, there was never such a presentation of God in nature as we have in Jesus.

The Creator (John_1:2-3). In the strongest language he could command, the apostle inscribes the Name of Jesus on all things that are in heaven above and in the earth beneath. The iron of which the nails were made that transfixed Him to the Cross; the wood of which it was composed, the thorns which composed His crown, all were due to His creative fiat.

Life and Light (John_1:4). It pleased the Father that life should reside in His human nature, as its cistern and reservoir, so that from Him we should derive eternal life, communicated through faith. In His life is light.

The Messiah (John_1:10-11). "He came unto His own."

The Shekinah (John_1:14). Now and again, during our Lord's earthly career, the curtain of His human nature seemed to part and to emit some gleams of the radiant splendour of His Being. It was so on the Transfiguration mount, and again in His Resurrection and Ascension. The glory was full of grace and truth.

The Only-Begotten Son (Joh_1:12-14). We may be sons, thank God, but He was The Son. Whatever is implied in that phrase "Only-Begotten," He is separated from the noblest of the children of men by a measureless and impassable chasm. Yet how wonderful it is, that He is not ashamed to call us brethren. Let us give glory and homage to Him.

PRAYER Love infinite, Love tender, Love unsought;

Love changeless, Love rejoicing, Love victorious

And this great Love for us in boundless store;

God's everlasting Love! What would we require more?

Have A Glorious Thursday!
Blessings and Love,

John 17:13, "And now I am coming to you. I have told them many things while I was with them so they would be filled with {My} joy"... John 15:11, "I have told you this so you will be filled with {My} joy. Yes! Your joy will overflow"... "John 16:24, "You haven't done this before. Ask using {My} name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy"...

---->As I sat and meditated on these 'most' powerful promises I was overwhelmed with JOY. This is not your usual kind of 'happiness' no, this is JESUS'S promise of HIS joy! NOW that's the kind of joy I wish to be filled with and also overflow with each and every day!

---->What I have experienced is most of us when things are going well, we feel elated. However, when hardships come we tend to sink into depression. But 'true joy' transcends the rolling waves of our circumstances. Yeshua, {Christ Jesus}, haS given us His joy as in the promises in the Scriptures above. This joy comes from a 'constant' relationship with Him. Not just a 'casual' relationship but an 'intimate' one of closeness and dependance on Him.

----> He will help us walk through adversity without sinking into debilitating lows and manage prosperity wihtout moving into deceptive highs.

---->The joy of living with Christ Jesus daily will keep us leveled headed, no matter how high or low our circumstances. The key to immeasureable joy is living in 'intimate' contact with Christ, Who is the source of 'all' joy. When we do, we will experience God's special care and protection and see the victory God brings even when defeat seems certain ...

Isaiah 43:3-4, "When you go through deep waters and great trouble I will be with you. When you go through the rivers of great difficulty you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you."

---->Going through rivers of difficulty will either cause you to drown or force you to grow stronger. If you go in your own strength, you are more likely to drown. If you invite the LORD to go with you, He will protect you....Isaiah 42:13, "The LORD will march forth like a mighty man; He will come out like a warrior, full of fury." Trust in God to bear any burden you may be carrying! No one or nothing is more powerful or victorious!

Psalm 9:9
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

Reflection
---->My Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my stronghold throughout my life! I could not imagine living one day without You! Father, continue to shape me into Your image and cause me to seek Your face more. For I am so grateful nothing can snatch me away from Your hand! Make me worthy of Your goodness and faithfulness.

SCRIPTURES

#1
Psalm 148:14/b>,"He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; [even] of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD." Zec.2:8,"For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye."

Deu. 32:8-11,"When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. 9For the LORD'S portion [is] his people; Jacob [is] the lot of his inheritance. 10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

Rom. 11:29, "For the gifts and calling of God [are] without repentance."

Psa. 33:11-12," The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. 12Blessed [is] the nation whose God [is] the LORD; [and] the people [whom] he hath chosen for his own inheritance."

#2:
Psa. 102:13-14,"Thou shalt arise, [and] have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. 14For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof."

#3
Isa. 62:1,6,7,"For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp [that] burneth. 6I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, [which] shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,7And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth."

#4
Rom. 9:2-3,"That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart."

Rom.10:1,14,"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

#5
Psa. 122:4, 6-9,"Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD. 6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. 7Peace be within thy walls, [and] prosperity within thy palaces. 8For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace [be] within thee. 9Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good."

Rom.15:25-27, "But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints." 26For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. 27It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things."

Rom.1:16,"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

Rom.2:9-11, "Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11For there is no respect of persons with God."

#6

Acts 3:19-21, "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 20And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began"

#7
